First attempt at photoshop, I mistakenly thought the only way to get it the right size on my screen and make it 11by17 was to make it like 90ppi or something retarded. So the inks suck. I like these last couple pages still. You know what they say, if the storytelling is good no one will notice it at all. So i am going to leave these on here to go unnoticed.

---- here's a few prelims i drew for this submission, because i'm going to redraw it.

Well, (this is also 100% without reference too, just a reminder) I sketched this and tried to digitally ink it in photoshop cs2. I'm no good at it. I'm hesitant to post it though.

did this for the weekly sketchblog, but i'm probably going to finish it, and edit my finishes here.

and even though no one likes to read my thoughts, too bad, my thread. I thought i'd put down some of my thought process on drawing grendel and argent.
---Grendel is part bugs bunny, part evil clown. He moves like a house cat/acrobat. And the rest of my concerns in depicting him come from my take on all Matt Wagner's essence, his darkness, sophistication, and style. Hey, all i can do is my best.
---Argent, i try to depict as he is described by Wagner's writing. High energy, vicious, muscle, thrashing, animal, he is a wolf. I'd like to show him in blur if he's in action because he's so overpowering and vicious (like if you were attacked by a wolf all you'd remember is teeth and claws), unlike grendel who is graceful and calculated.
