    Spider-Men

    Hey guys and gals.

I've been working on a few submissions and other things that I've not been able to post on fear of death, but I have managed to find the time to sketch up these two.

Any and all feedback welcomed and offers of work greatly appreciated and even begged for should the situation deserve it.

whatever happend to chua? or whatever his screenname was?

anyways, your art reminds me of his alot. this is slick as all hell. the super thin lines in the first picture kind of make spideys other leg dissappear, but im sure with color that would be fixed.

    First picture:

Iceman's right arm looks short (foreshortening not working). He's only got one shoulder?

Iceman's left arm looks very long in comparison and I don't like that its cropped out of panel.

Iceman's ice spray round his right hand is creating a nasty tangent with Goblin's mini-plane.

Spidey has an awesome sense of movement but his head and lowest foot both create tangents with the lines of the building behind him.

Firestar's bend leg creates another tangent with the border panel. The foot attached to that leg looks more clunky than it should as well - and I have NO IDEA how it attaches to her ankle. Doesn't seem possible to me. Drawing her ass as a little line like that is genius tho.

As I've said before, spidey really looks like he's moving (the lines of the building all work in his favour) -- but the others all look pretty static.

I'm a big fan of your work - but I think the 'errors' in his one go beyond being attributed to 'style'.

    SECOND PIC:

Took me AGES to realise what was going on -- but imagine colour will help. The general SHAPE of the image is great.

Oooh, you live at the seaside!

I was there about 4 years ago, I think.
We did an art project there.

I can remember a building with 'Flamingo' written on it - and the dis-used amusement park 'Dreamland, isn't it?'. I understand they're turning that into an 'antique' amusement park in the near future? With loads of old wooden rides etc?

Anyway, this is totally derailing your thread........

The Flamingo is still standing, Dreamland however has gone the way of the Do-Do.

Until recently, it still boasted the oldest rollercoaster in Europe, but some burberry wearing oiks took a match to it. Now it's just a pile of charred wood.

It did get a temporary shot of life a few years back when a movie was filmed there - Exodus - which yours truely got to feature in, but like most things down this way, it's dead now.
