From 05, but Freshman year of college. The first sequentials I ever did. They suck, sure. But I'm proud of how far I've come.







I was reading a lot of Hellboy and HP Lovecraft at the time. I still sort of like the idea. Even though this tease has absolutely zero to do with the story that was to come. (About Atlantean fish creatures.)

On a side note, I'd never heard of Michael Turner's comic of the same name back then. I had only just gotten into comics.

If it's any consolation, I've actually seen artists of your former caliber get hired to do some big time projects. Occasionally artists slip in before they're ready.
Aren't you glad you've had time to progress and get a hell of a lot better. Now when you get published you don't need to be embarrassed by your former work.

Were I to actually get published, I still fully expect to be embarrassed by anything I do. But maybe that's just me and my self loathing.
