    Pencilling Street Fighter WIP

I don't know exactly where to go with this one. I'm thinking about having the two girls up front with a mix of faces behind them (getting rid of Ken and Ryu in the scene with Cammy and Chun Li).

I kind of like it like this. Maybe put other figures in the background backlit so there's just shadows. Particularly characters who have obvious or recognizable shapes (like Goro in Mortal Kombat).

I love your shoes. I wish I could draw shoes like that. I will probably shamelessly copy that.

One note, the chick who's doing the squat, her left thigh looks a little on the over-muscled side, but that may be the style of the characters (bazooka breasts and waifish waists).

    Good job though.

The chick on the ground is Chun Li - famous for her well developed thighs - so yes, they're big on purpose.

The trick to shoes: own a pair of combat boots and draw them a LOT. If you can draw an overly complicated combat boot (I have a pair of cap toe 14 hole Grinders) then you can draw any footwear. (Obviously photo ref does fine for this, but its nicer when you can pose your subject yourself). One shoe detail many people leave out is the upturned toe. Nearly all footwear has this feature and it always looks peculiar when its not depicted.

Cool. My thing is hands. When I was in high school I spent a year of art class just drawing hands. Don't know why. Ever since I can draw hands but not the bodies they attach too, heh.

Maybe you could add the backs of some characters in the foreground to almost create a circle of fighters.

yeah or over lap the two females, or have one closer to the camera. To get a sense of dynamic layout?
