I was wondering what will be the next book. I think advance notice is a good idea, so that we can try to find and read the book to discuss it.

    From the Maus thread:

Reminder: Two weeks from now we will start our second book in PJ:CBC on August 18th. The book will be City of Glass by Paul Auster, Paul Karasik, and David Mazzucchelli.

On the first day of a new discussion, we'll be announcing the next book. That gives you 2 weeks to order it from Amazon or find it at your library, or maybe find it in your own collection. If 2 weeks is too short, let us know and we'll reconsider.

Two weeks is somewhat short for me. Shipping takes an average of two weeks, sometimes less, and on occassion a lot more.

One month advance notice would be ideal, I believe, especially since most of the books we'll be discussing I probably don't own if the first two are any indication. I'm more into mainstream superhero comics to be honest, and Image is the most abstract I get

However, this is a great opportunity to discover new books.

Well we've got the first set books and dates planned out, but after the first few are done we're going to talk about if anything needs tweaking, so we'll definitely keep you in mind. To help the ordering process, after City of Glass on August 18th, we'll be doing Pride of Baghdad by Brian K. Vaughan and Niko Henrichon beginning September 1st.

Okay. So, okay. I spend sixteen of my hard-earned American dollars on a reprint of the Pride of Baghdad hardcover and this thread dies? What gives?

I'll take my compensation in the form of Absolute DC: New Frontier, thank you.

I think it'll only work if we have a few people running new threads. I thought we had enough, I don't know what happened.
