Yeah, I read a thing where Lasseter said he didn't like to do gratuitous 3D, and I'm glad to hear that. I'm also glad, yet not at all surprised, to hear all the positive things I'm hearing about this movie.

I just got back from seeing up with my son and I put it in my top 5 pixar list:
    Toy Story 1
    The Incredibles
    Up
Nemo - this movie would be higher but my kids have worn out the disk.
    Wall e

the trailers didn't do this movie any justice at all. very good, from start to finish, starts off kinda sad, & it made me shed a tear.

I think this might be the first animated feature to have a miscarriage scene.

FANTASTIC movie. It has a believable true love with the best first encounter of any kind. It's an awesome adventure. It's got great fully fleshed out characters and leaves a lasting impression (take note, Monsters vs. Aliens... ).

The Cloud/Stork short before it was also brilliant. I effin' love Pixar shorts. Presto is one of my faves. Boundin' is really good, too.

I really wanna see this flick again. It was a ton of fun.

Agree totally with everyone. It was funny that a father with his kids a couple rows behind me said "Wow this really is a kids movie" when they were doing the Carl and Ellie Life montage.. Sarcastic as it was, there is really truth to it. Kids will enjoy it but its definitely not a kids movie.

Great film. It's greatness was only emphasized by all the trailers for crappy kids movies that played before it. I love that Pixar never talks down to kids, and as a result makes movies that adults can enjoy as much, if not more.
