here's a little picture I whipped up over the weekend,criticisms always greatly appreciated

nice... i quite like the slightly rougher look to the linework on the figures, but it clashes a bit with the very clean lines of the backdrop?
Generally backdrop lets it down - use a more dramatic perspective maybe? heighten the horizon or something? A more dramatic angle with depth (leaping at us outta a tunnel or off a high building zooming in) would add more drama... Could also try drawing background 'freehand' rather than with ruler tools to match style of figures... it don't have to be straight, but it needs to be dramatic...
also, there's a manga stylee here, so i'm sure you'd get away with some speedlines....
