drag the lower part of the leg down slightly so we get a greater sense of the foot? Bend the back knee slightly forward?
Worth persevering with - it's an intersting pose...
So here is the new figure i am doing.
I am thinking about changing the extended leg. It just seems wrong to me.
thoughts?
changed the leg. Its less flashy but more solid i think. Picked Sunfire for this one.

Is the figure standing or in flight, if he's in flight it may help to point his left (extended) foot down.
Nice pose BTW.
updated with the next version....
I would loose the foot if i had it pointing down.

I agree with billzeebub. If the character is in flight or hovering, the foot should be pointed down. With the foot in a flat position it makes it look like he's standing, however the angle of the rest of the body makes that impossible because there's no way he could keep his balance the way you have him drawn. If you want him to be standing, his head would have to be essentially directly on the same vertical plane as his left foot.

I take it that means that you're out of room on the page you drew this on? If that's the case, draw the foot on another piece of paper and put it together in Photoshop. Otherwise, I'd suggest tracing this onto another sheet so you can make the fix. The extra work will be worth it when you've completed the finished piece (that is, if you're planning to finish the drawing), otherwise it will continue to look odd. The rest of the pose looks really cool, so it'd be a shame to let that one spot ruin it.

very cool!.. but:
his right hand looks a bit off.. and same goes for his left hand.. the fingers are too big..
his legs look a bit akward.. not his right one, but the way left leg is bend it looks like some yoga pose..
I realy like how you did his right leg and abdomen part!
