    1st annual Thunderbrawl tournament.

    Congratulations NATE!

    Winner: Nate's Sarah Hammer

    Thunderbrawl Rules
This is going to be a single elimination tournament. If you lose once, you are out; there will be no losers’ brackets. Also, mutual medium (deal from both artists, where the medium for that round was mutually agreed upon) from past tournaments is out. You have to rely on your best traits and hope it will garner you enough votes to carry you on to the next round of fighting.

Fighter design sheet: Drawing can not exceed 700 pixels by 900 pixels. Portrait or landscape orientation is up to you. It must be colored. You can have another artist color this for you since it's mostly only for reference. You must show your fighter in a full frontal or ¾ view. Please save the action for the fight. A back view is optional and not necessary if you think we can gather all design information from front view. Please include a short profile for you fighter, including; story, skills/powers, height, weight, and record if you wish. Include only essential information. Nobody wants to read a novel. This profile is to judge how well you stick to your original idea during the tournament and for your opponent’s use when drawing your character. Try not to exaggerate your fighter's powers. Think Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. The design should be based around the fighter, powers come next. First 16 entries that meet design sheet qualifications will be accepted. Post your designs here.

Tournament drawing: This is an action pin-up. The drawing has to consist of both your opponent’s and your own fighter on page. I’d suggest showing your character winning Pre, mid, or post impact is up to you. Medium is also up to you, but uploaded drawing can not exceed 700 pixels by 900 pixels. Portrait or landscape orientation is up to you. You can only do sequentials if you are selected for the OverDrive fight.

OverDrive fight. This is going to be a wild card match that features sequentials! One match from each round will be randomly selected to have artists draw sequentials instead of pin-ups. Winner from OD match will be safe from OD matches for only the next round. This also includes his opponent for the next round.
Sequentials can range from 1p (min) to 3p (max) and from pencils to colors with lettering. The final match is an automatic OD fight and previous round OD winners can not be exempt this round.

(Addendum) In Case of Tie: If The match ends up in a tie, both combatants will advance to the next round resulting in a 3-way match. If a tie for the final match occurs, both pieces will be judged by 3 judges. Judges TBA

Grace period: You will have one extra hour past midnight PST to submit your entry. This is for the slackers since I know ideas sometimes come only under pressure. Each artist gets to use this only once during the duration of the tournament.

Participation: If you fail to submit your drawing by the due date or bow out of the match at any time your opponent is automatically qualified for the next round. No fill ins.

Schedule: Your schedule for this tourney is as follows.

-Mar 22-31: Fighter Entry. You will have 10 days to read the rules, design and submit a character. If you think this deadline is too short then you probably shouldn’t enter as this tourney is going to have tight deadlines.

-Apr 1-7: First round postings. You will get to see who you are up against and can immediately start your drawing.
You will have only 1 week including the grace period to complete your drawing. Submit your drawings via pm to either me or Mr. Hades.

-Apr 8-10: First round voting. There will be only 3 days to vote. A sticky to the voting thread will be up in the challenges and discussion thread to help get attention. You will be allowed to vote for yourself.

-Apr 11-17: Quarter-final postings. You will get to see who you are up against and can immediately start your drawing.
You will have only 1 week including the grace period to complete your drawing. Submit your drawings via pm to either me or Mr. Hades.

-Apr 18-20: Quarter-final voting. There will be only 3 days to vote. A sticky to the voting thread will be up in the challenges and discussion thread to help get attention. You will be allowed to vote for yourself.

-Apr 21-27: Semi-final postings. You will get to see who you are up against and can immediately start your drawing.
You will have only 1 week including the grace period to complete your drawing. Submit your drawings via pm to either me or Mr. Hades.

-Apr 28-30: Semi-final voting. There will be only 3 days to vote. A sticky to the voting thread will be up in the challenges and discussion thread to help get attention. You will be allowed to vote for yourself.

-May 1-11: Final postings. You will get to see who you are up against and can immediately start your drawing.
You will have 11 days to complete your drawing as it is a mandatory OD fight. No page or size limit this round. No grace period this round. Submit your drawings via pm to either me or Mr. Hades.

HAHA...I thought the same thing, then I realized if I do enter this the chances of me making it out of the first round are really slim. So it's not that much effort after all.

Can we use a pre-existing fighter that we have?

    EDIT: Nevermind, I will redraw.

Well what I meant was I have a character that I want to use, but I just noticed I need to redraw him to fit 'Fighter design sheet' spec.
