I know, that there already is one review of Naruto posted here, but I (being the huge fan) find
that 4-5 lines insulting. So this is my review of Naruto and Naruto shipuuden.

1 Part.
Naruto.

Plot/Storyline
Story begins in a place called "Village of the hidden leaf" where generations of
boys and girls are learning to become shinobi. (Ninja warrior).
Naruto is a 12 year old boy who is currently learning to become shinobi.
Being the orphan from birth Naruto is treated like nothing in the village and
he thinks that this is the reason of other people in the village avoiding him so he makes
a promise to himself that one that he will become Hokage (Leader of the village) so all people
will recognize him and acknowledge him.
But what Naruto doesn't know is that previous Hokage had sealed away Demon nine-tailed fox
in him. But the rest of the villagers know this and avoid him.
When Naruto finally graduates in ninja academy he is teamed up with 3 more members.
Hatake Kakashi. Who is team leader and elder genius ninja.
Uchiha Sasuke. Who Naruto seas as his rival and a friend.
Haruno Sakura. Who Naruto has a crush on.

The main plot of Naruto resolves around mysterious organization named
Akatsuki who are obtaining Demons and are now targeting Naruto.
Akatsuki members are all elite class Shinobi and are extremely strong.
At some time Uchiha Itachi ( Sasuke's brother ) have joined their ranks.

Uchiha Itachi was once a member of Uchiha clan of Konoha ( leaf ) but he escaped
after killed his entire clan leaving only his little brother Sasuke alive.
And Sasuke sworn revenge.



2 Part.
Naruto Shipuuden.

Plot/Storyline
Naruto Shipuuden is continuation of original Naruto storyline.
It mainly resolves in Naruto ambition to find and save his missing
friend Sasuke who escaped from Konoha to kill his brother Itachi and fell under
infuance of evil immortal shinobi named Orochimaru who wants to use Sasuke
body as as vessel for his soul thus keeping his immortality.

The characters are all the same from original Naruto but shipuuden is
3 years time-skip from Naruto so all the characters are older. Around 16 years.




The Artwork:
The art of Masashi kishimoto is at one word great.
Linework is strong and looks like characters are done in a single stroke.
It is also almost incredible how Kishimoto mastered perspective and weird
but cool drawing distortions witch makes him the true master at his work.
Although this is considered manga, the character are not dawned in a typical
manga style. You can see that Kishimoto is drawing noses and eyes more western style
and not pointy like in most other mangas.


General:
Naruto and Naruto shipuuden is a great comic, and once you start reading it,
( good luck it has 386 chapters ) you will easily be addicted to it.
Naruto is heavily based on Japanese ( and others ) history and legends.
Characters are done superbly and each on them is portrayed to such details
that it gets creepy at some time.
