Wolverine, Kong and a Monster Island

Here's some warm-up sketches I did this morning. I tossed in the Green Goblin head I did the other day as well to round out the collage. Sharpies and Pitt pen doodles here, folks.

Wolverine's halftones are drybrush are from a dying brushpen. No idea why I started drawing that monstrous looking island. I think it's just sort of goofy-fun, I reckon. I dropped some gray tones on it via Photoshop for effect.

The Kirby-esque guy in the lower left is just a generic character-no one in particular. That's a toony caricature of the "Jersey Devil" on the right.

I scanned these larger so that it's easier to see the loose pencils beneath the ink. I usually pencil loosely and tighten things up with ink afterwards.

Thanks. The shadows aren't actually consistant though--oops! Notice that the island has shadows on the right, and the trees are shadowed on the left. Heh. That's what I get for doodling while on the phone.

I do appreciate it though, guys. Thanks for the feedback.
