Great idea. I'll join.
I always wanted to participate in one of these things, but they always seem to be about superheroes or things like Star Wars and Buffy that I'm generally not that interested in. So I'm going to make my own. This here is the challenge for indie comics fans.....
Rules:
The character(s) must not be a superhero, and must be from a comic that is not about superheroes; and not published by Marvel or DC (including Vertigo, Wildstorm, etc.) Sorry, I love non-superhero characters like John Constantine and Spider Jerusalem too, but they're not indie. I'm also disallowing 2000 AD characters.
No licensed properties. No Star Wars or Aliens or Buffy, in other words, even though I realize according to the previous rule, they would count.
No webcomics or manga, please.
Any medium is acceptable. Pencils, inks, paints, digital, whatever you want.
It must be a new drawing you did for this draw-off, not something you did previously.
One entry per person.
Deadline is one month from today, November 4, at midnight (that's the beginning of Nov. 4, not the end of it).
Some ideas:
Bone
Strangers in Paradise
Wet Moon
Love and Rockets
The Goon
The Walking Dead
Milk and Cheese
Usagi Yojimbo
Cerebus
Scud the Disposable Assassin
Scott Pilgrim
and any number of other awesome indie books.

I might be down for this.
Check out my webcomic Small Change!
How about European or rest of the world characters?
Both are fine. I added them to the list of ideas.
Hmmm... tough call. I'm not really familiar with a lot of comics outside of the US. I said no 2000 AD or manga stuff, but if you're talking about characters from a country other than England or Japan, I have no idea. I'll let you use your discretion on that. If it's an indie book, I'm okay with it.Originally Posted by Roho

One per person, please, but is this a new drawing or something you did a while ago? I'm kind of skeptical you did this since last night. Also, this seems a bit superheroey, maybe I'm wrong.
I'll add those to the rules.

Does scud the disposable assassin qualify?
