My advice to you is, really really really look at some of the artists work that you like alot, and see where the differences are.

I like it, but you need to learn and employ some depth cues. That style, while very graphic, is also very flat. The second picture comes close to being an un-decipherable jumble. There, a possible solution would be to slightly blur the grey mound in the middle ground, and blur more heavily the background. Or use diminishing contrasts. Or use lineweights. Just something to clarify the images. Watching out for tangents will also help, though I'm not one to talk there.
