Proposed Comic Logo Idea
Something I been messing around with but can't get feel. Story is based in ancient Greece/Italy Pre_Roman times. I haven't nailed it yet. Not sure what to do with it.

I think right now you're not really nailing the 'period' feel of ancient times. Couple quickies:
-I don't think italics were used during that time. Sure they can convey movement and everything, but I think when you're trying to sell the era, stick with regular, uppercase type.
-Along that line, the difference in the strokes in 'WOLF' is very un-Classic. Roman type was much more uniform in the weight of the strokes in letterforms. Possibly kerned out as well. The secondary typeface feels much better!
-I'm not sure if emphasizing 'WOLF' is right for the hierarchy for this. It seems like 'Wolf Prince' should be on equal footing.
A couple of half-assed historical ideas based on stuff I remember:
-Ligatures feel very Greek/Roman to me. The ae ligature, for example. That may not apply here based on how the letters happen to work for your title, although I'm pretty sure there's a CE ligature.
-Horizontal rules would give a sense of structure and balance.
-If you're going with the big 'WOLF,' you could possibly get a Greek-looking shield out of the O.
-Maybe a cave painting-style wolf separating the words 'WOLF' and 'PRINCE?'

I think your right about giving Wolf and Prince equal weight. I was thinking of going with an actual font that had wolf in greek or latin letters. I want to have a conflicting nature where the character is part raw but also has very stately attributes also.
