ONE NEXUS STUDIOS AND COMICS
One Nexus Studios is finally turning on the 'open' sign. While we still have a few boxes to unpack, and some small details to iron out, we are officially beginning operations.
As a first goal, One Nexus Studios is looking to make a name for itself in the comic industry. To do that, we need professional, creative talent for a variety of projects. This industry is filled with very capable and driven writers and artists who are exactly the types of creators we are looking to create a dialogue with.
We seek digital artists, pencilers, inkers, colorists, painters, concept artists, illustrators, animators, 3D artists, and writers to submit their own creator-owned works for publication, both in print and on the web. We also have a range of in-house projects in the works, so this should prove to be an exciting time to be involved.
Creator's Rights:
Creators and their projects are important to One Nexus Studios. 'Creator-Owned' and 'Creator Rights' continue to be a hot topic in the comic industry. We feel it is necessary to explain our views on these topics. Other studios have applied backdoor clauses in contracts or have misrepresented themselves in agreements that strip creators of their ownership and their rights. As creators ourselves, we understand what is at risk and would never have you sign anything that we wouldn't sign ourselves.
We are not out to take ownership of anyone's properties because there are many reasons why it is good business to share profits rather than steal them. We would never allow creators to sign away their rights using the standard snake-oil boilerplate contracts that many in the industry continue to use. We believe that when a creator owns his property, then s/he will do everything in their power to bring their full vision to fruition. Bottom line, your success is our success. The more effective we are at supporting your efforts, the more successful we will be at building this studio into the company we envision.
