In the aftermath of the last chapter Jason wallows in self doubt and must face his own inner demons after a realization of how his newfound powers have yet again changed him. Then he must come to the rescue of a young couple trapped in an auto wreck. Does he have the strength of will and body to save them?

In chapter five an old flame comes to town to beseech him to find her lost son. Can Jason muster up the courage to return to New York City to face his worst demon and the cause of his downfall?
