    Most overrated creative team/person

This isn't about who's the best or who's the worst. This is about creators who are top tier, but really shouldn't be.

    Bendis and Miller.

    There, it's been said.

They are both great, but overrated.
[edited in additional commentary to make this more of a discussion then a 10 letter out wit the last post thread]
1st both of these guys could write anything including MY life story better then I could so I give them tons of respect and credit

I have found that I really enjoyed reading stuff from Bendis in certain characters, but then he messes up big time with others. He shines in the Ultimate Marvel world, where characters are supposed to not be the same as in the normal 616. He is creating new personalities and new motives for characters that are fresh and interesting. Then when he comes back into the regular marvel world he carries with him too much of his voice that detracts from the years of character build up by previous writers. Characters should constantly evolve, but even evolution takes a long time and shouldn't happen in the first issue he scripts for a character.

I love what he can do with the darker grittier characters and I think that is another area where he does extremely well, but the level to which he is hyped on the internet (from the forums I visit and things I read) I get the impression that that large group of outspoken bandwagon internet posters make him out to be so much greater then he is (so far).

Miller is much the same, but I think he has more potential to be one of the greatest ever. His stuff is really smart (most of the time) and keeps me interested the whole time, always wanting to know what the big reveal around the corner is going to be, but then... it just ends and its usually with a small spark instead of the huge explosion I was wanting to see. Sure not every story needs to have a universe shattering ending...but at least change the characters point of view by the end or show a cliffhanger ending of an invading alien spaceship armada. Just do something! It's a freaking comicbook! The big reveal is part of the basic structure that makes us geeks come back for more after the long build up.

once again they are great writers...just overhyped sometimes.
