How Spiderman3 could have been Better.

This is my stupid fanboy opinion...

I would have kept the entire opening: excluding the sandman. Keep the Harry and peter fight as is. At the end of the fight keep Harry with his memories, but be totally aware that peter saved his life.

Keep the Eddie Brock parts for the most part. Make him more aggressive. More desperate for fame,

I would have kept the symbiotic coming from space thing, but have it attached to Jameson’s sons ship or something similar. I would have attached the symbiote to peter immediately. I would show peter performing feats of strength he couldn’t have done before. Him using the suits powers to lift bus’s with one hand stuff like that. I’d put more emphasis on peters personality change. Almost comparing the suit to steroids.

I’d keep the curt conners studying the symbiote. Accidentally finding that alien lurches away form fire. And it ripples and seems to sound emissions coming from a pitchfork. Stuff like that.

I’d keep the Gwen Stacy parts. I’d keep strife between Mary Jane and peter parts. I’d keep the Harry fighting peter on an emotional level part. Keep the humiliating and firing of Eddie Brock. I’d have Eddie stalk peter from that point on.

The second fight with Harry should have been more longer drawn out and totally one sided. Peter beating the ever loving snot out of Harry. During the fight pete is almost frothing at the mouth. The suit making him nuts.

Keep the emo peter stuff. Keep the making Mary Jane jealous part…and the part where he goes over board hits her, but I’d show him Angier, and give the impression that peter almost kills those bouncers.

I’d have the Church redemption scene after that. Where peter realizes he’s gone too far. I'd have Eddie there; stalking him all along. Growing Angier. When the symbiote attaches itself to Eddie you are able to see flashes through the perspective of the symboite…giving an indication that Eddie sees what it has seen.

After that it’s ALL venom.

I’d have Eddie Brock show up at peters front door, peter confused and apologetic. Have Eddie talk to peter almost calmly at first, explaining to him how he ruined his life…and explaining to him he knows everything about peter and how he was going to systematically going to take him apart. As Eddie talks the symboite starts slithering from eddies eyes and pores. Then I’d have venom emerge and partially transform from eddies clothing… and beat peter within an inch of his life. I’d show how powerless peter is against venom and how the spider sense doesn’t work on it. Then I’d end the fight with Eddie telling peter he wasn’t going to kill him and he was going to make him suffer.

I’d have peter visit aunt may soon after, only to see Eddie sitting on her couch drinking tea. I'd have her explain that such a nice boy Eddie was, and how he helped her home with her groceries and how Eddie explained he was Pete’s old friend. This enrages peter but he needs to hide it in front of aunt may. I’d have peter calmly get Eddie to leave aunt May’s…and Eddie explain that he can get to him any time and anywhere. Another fight ensues. I’d have peter barely escape and ask Harry for help. Harry tells him to go F himself.

He goes to Curt Connors to find out more about the symbiote. Connors gives him sort of a biological overview and what seems to hurt it and how it needs to survive and shit.

I’d change that whole butler/Harry bullshit. Instead I’d have Harry find a blackbox in the old goblins glider. It has audio and video of his father’s stint as the goblin and the cause of his father’s death.

The final battle…venom gets Gwen, and Mary Jane and it’s all over the news. The fight ensues, peter is beaten yet again, maybe breaks and arm. Venom is about to consume peters head when Harry comes for an EPIC three-way fight, (SOMEWHERE I’d put the “we are venom” line damnit). Eventually venom is injured from the gliders flame and bombs. I’d have venom eventually smash the snowboard glider. Peter does that shit with the sound waves. Eddie is ripped naked from the suit and they incinerate the symbiote incendiary bombs.

Eddie escapes somehow during the destruction of the symbiote. Everything wraps up nicely.

I’d end it with a police radio scan…and peter answering it. It’s a bank robbery. Peter shows up cracks a joke at the robber who turns around slowly. He’s in a yellow and black costume. It’s the shocker. He lifts his fist towards peter and blasts him towards the screen. Then the credits roll.

Take out Sandman, MAke Brock Jr. the main badguy, make it Rated R (because its venom) and thats it.

1) Why not make John Jameson become Venom? He certainly had the motive to hate Peter Parker for M.J. leaving him at the alter. he could have had the thing attach itself to him in space, and so on and so forth. Could have brought JJJ into the mix more as well-especially if his son is trying to kill Spidey.

2) End with Spiderman doing something-the endings of the other two flicks always went out with a cool swinging away shot.

3) The extra part of the simbiote that Conners still has was a perfect lead in at the end for the next movie-just like Harry finding his father's Goblin stuff at the end of two. Foreshadowing of the Lizard.

Why not make Scott Summers Wolverine, or Johnny Storm the Mole Man.

Because John Jameson becomes a different villain later on, Eddie Brock IS Venom.

I do like CadaverSodomy's take on it, especially learning about how the venom reacts to sound and the "we are Venom" part. Except I would have left one of the two eddie brock peter parker fights out, it seems a little much.

Shocker part i would like too, but like the next day after Parker and MJ make up, and it happens like when they're dancing or something.

I dunno if "Take gwen stacy" meant kill her or just kidnap, but i wouldn't kill her in this one, and I would have left the sandman and venom duo. Oh, and good idea with showing the remaing connors venom stuff, let that bit get away and combine with Eddie(who's still alive).

Yeah, i still loved the movie but it could have been better.

I would've made the sandman research accident a part of Osborne industries 'human research' division. And I would left out the SandmanUncle Ben storyline. I just reckon evrything should've tied in with osborne industries somehow, like how doc ock was funded by them in part 2, it should be the same for sandman and maybe even venom. like, the symbiote was part of a osborne funded experiment on some meteors that had crashed to earth some time before the movie takes place. and it escapes and finds peter when he treis to talk to harry or something.. u know? anything better than a random meteor landing.

I liked the entire movie, and I'm and avid Spidey fan. The only thing I wish could have been better was that I wish that Venom ad more screen time. They did him some good justice.
