    Jmo.
If you are going by these scans, then I have to disagree. In the books themselves, the colors are very crisp and the lineart is very clear.

I would have to say the colorist drasticly changed some of the facial exspressions on some of the characters.

Look at the lineart that was posted on this thread, then look at the colors. IMHO he ruined some of the more subtle things that the penciler was trying to get across. He acutey makes the faces very ugly in some instances.

It used to be a penciler only had to worry about a inker screwing his pencils up since colorists did very minimal flat colors due to printing constraints. Now he/she has to worry about both the inker and colorists.

The color is what makes this book really snap. The lineart is amazing, and Vines' inks are slick. But really what appeals to me and most of the buying public is the colors. It's better than anything on the market by a good deal.

I'm not going to say you're wrong but just exactly how do you know what ,about this book, is appealing to the buying public?
I'm not arguing I'm just wondering how you came to that conclusion.

I bought Civil War mainly for the art, the well done colors espcially attracted my attention at first from the previews. No other book really has colors like it.

It's just a guess, or observation, I suppose. Keep in mind, I'm not one to usually state that my opinion is, in fact, opinion. I figure most people can understand the difference.

That being said, I spend a lot of time in my LCSs and talking with friends that aren't comic artists. We've had several convos about the art and the writing in CW. People mostly bought the book for big fat changes, but the art was usually at the center of the conversations. And people fawned over the color.
It's been the same for decades. When they did Liquid! a few years back, everyone was flapping over that too, even though it was atrocious. It was new and that's usually what gets people.
