That's actually a reproduction of an old Daredevil cover, as seen here:
I would be curious to know how old this actually is. It appears, at least to my eyes, that those buildings are deliberately wonky.
Check out this old Simon Bisley painting.
I thought this was interesting. Looks nothing like the way he paints now...wow...what a complete style change. And look at the perspective on those buildings...![]()
I love seeing the old work of famous artists and comparing it to their stuff today...it gives me hope that if I keep working at my art...it won't always suck as bad as it does right now.

Money can't buy you happiness, but it will pay for the search.
Well I'll be damn...![]()
Looking at the color choices, you can see the resemblance to Bisley's more recent style.
well, i did some internet browsing on this guy and ill be frank, it was some of the worst professial art i had ever seen.
i cant say i liked any of what i saw and i looked at about 50 different pieces by him. if anyone has anything done by him thats remotely deceint i will withdraw my statements. and no im not bashing anyone, maybe my taste in art is different than others and thats just my opinion on his work.
just my two cents.![]()

I would definitely like to know how old that is too.
Bisley has churned out some really great work in his day. He is inconsistant though. He can definitely paint, and I remember liking his work on Slaine.

I would be curious to know why STILT MAN is front page news.
ORGY TWINS!!
Party Tip: when mom gives you Cheerios, drink the milk too! It's a balanced breakfast and good for strong bones! PARTY!
That original DD cover was illustrated by EC Comics great, Wallace Wood. Many of you probably don't know this, but Wally Wood gave us the red Daredevil outfit. When he was first introduced in the 1960s Stiltman was treated as being more of a threat and less of a joke as he has become today. Stiltman is now a casualty of camp value, much like so many other villains who have not aged well. Remember, superhero comics used to be geared for 10-12 year olds, folks.
If that is an early Simon Bisley reproduction, he certainly didn't understand perspective very well back then. The Wood perspective makes far more sense, though it's pretty obvious he eyeballed the windows of the buildings in places.
