yeah, being Mexican myself, it was offensive. We're STILL portrayed as slow, dumb, brown people. The "essay" joke was an ignorant "white" joke. I've never heard a Mexican national or 1st generation Mexican refer to someone as an "ese", only a few American-born Chicanos tend to use that term, and I've never heard any hispanic who uses that word pronounce it as "essay".
But hey, if I wasn't Mexican, it would've been funny, Hell, if I was white, it would've been hilarious! Comedic gold even!
Aaaah, I guess it was our turn, I supposse, they couldn't have a Chinese guy telling everybody about his delicious "Shitty Shrimp" and "Shitty Chicken" every episode!
BUt I'm just ranting right? Racism is dead apparently.
If anything the Mexicans are the only group that come off looking good. There was one little joke. Imagine if your were a Persian lesbian.
I'm Mormon (I know its a religion and not a race) and we get roasted on that show almost every season but I still think the episodes are funny.

Well according to South Park at least you guys "got it right"
They usually make fun of white people 99% of the time on that show anyway, so I don't think any minority would get pissed if they were made fun of in an episode or two.
Actually...now that I've seen the whole episode...seems like the Mexicans are portrayed as the smartest peeps in the whole episode.

Personally, I never listened to Imus because he's a boring old fart...so I don't know who he makes fun of. Either way, not my point. Sure, racism is wrong...I agree with that. Seeing every single joke that pokes fun at a non anglo is not, however, a hate filled jab at an entire race of people. That's all I'm saying. I feel, as a society, that we've moved away from racist remarks that actually have hate backing them up.
Well, except for ignorant rednecks...but they'll eventually choke on roadkill and die out anyway. hehe
