In a word... AWESOME. Like seriously. So good. i don't like the costume though, as well drawn as it is, it just isn't flattering or practical in anyway. Also regardless of how strong he is, I don't think gravity would allow that rock to stay in the air the way it is base on the way he is holding it... Just my two cents.

Wow! really nice... beautifully rendered and love the figure drawing. The costume looks pretty good to me too, creases in the clothing make the whole thing look pretty realistic.

My only crits would be the right arm that seems a little off foreshortening wise, and the rock that could be a bit less spherical and more ‘rocklike’.

Otherwise, I refer to my original statement……wow!

I personally love it. My grays can never be that intense. It's a very sweet piece. Prime lead burnin' right there.

I probably won't put mine up here until it's finished-finished-over, but I'll put it in the challenge thread.

I really like the artwork, but not particularly the design, I really dont like the cape.

Also I agree with Senshi, even though he is strong, he should still lift it via its centre of gravity. So either his hand should be further down under the boulder closer to his head or the boulder should be higher and to the right to get his hand in the right position.

Hey Doc. Thanks for accepting the challenge and putting up something I didn't expect from you. Your drawing holds up (no pun intended) really well with tonal qualities and the overall competition. But because this was a redesign I would of loved to see his legs so we can establish if he is barefoot or wearing massive boots. I like the cape idea, the gauntlets and his suit but find the things by his side a little weird for the character.
And are those horns under his armpits to hold the cape together?

Still, he looks pretty badass. Good effort.
