For the longest time I wouldn't touch a DC comic, even though one of the first comics I ever read was this one:

Stuff like that was not helping when I tried to tell people that comics weren't just for morons.
And while DC was doing stuff like that, I was reading this

DC has actually gotten worse. They keep doing retcons to their whole universe and each character has 80 versions of themselves. The continuity is a mess and most of the characters looks are pretty silly compared to Marvel characters. You can tell how different DC and MArvel are just by the crap going down in their recent events.

They're both good, when they're doing books I like. When they aren't doing books I like, they both suck. Currently, both companies have driven me to stop buying titles and start following creators only. You do the math.

I picked Marvel... because they have a Captain America who is starting to realize that the country he is fighting for doesn't even adhere to the ideals upon which it was founded...... and he's pissed about it.

I think it all depends on which creator's are working for which company at the time. Don't really follow character's anymore, its all about the art.
