I didnt touch DC untill about 1986-7, then I started to understand batman, JLI sold me on a whole new world of Characters.I'm a fan and critic of both but cant touch my Marvel nostalgia of the 70's and 80's as a kid.
Marvel
DC
I thought Marvel was best when I was a kid, but as I've gotten older and realised that Spiderman is fairly crap, I'd have to say that I prefer DC.

I stopped buying new material a few years ago . I now only buy Silver age books with the occasional Golden age comic. I started reading both DC and Marvel in 1966 when I was 7 years old and enjoyed what both companies had to offer over the years . Now that Jim Lee and Dan Didio threw away over 77 years of continuity and history to launch their " new DC Universe ", I seriously doubt I will ever buy a DC Comic again as long as those 2 are in charge of the company . I do on oaccasion , pick up the Marvel Trade paperback at the library so I can keep up with what's going on.
Can we say they threw it away when every issue has adds promoting Trades of the pre-reboot comics?
(oh and as much as i love both, since i really started getting back into comics idw and ddp have prolly been my preference)
