    100 Bullets - Punchline

    SPOILER

Well, the latest storyline just ended and I was pretty bummed that they killed Wylie. I kinda saw it coming since they built Wylie up pretty good from the beginning of the latest storyline. The only problem I have is that Brian built Wylie up so well that killing him off in my opinion took a major and important character out of the series. I was more interested in what Wylie was doing and his motives than I was with Graves and Lono. Now that it seems Victor has taken Wylie's place, I hope Brian can write up his character as well.

One of my favorite storylines so far.

I'm not surprised because Azz killed all my fave characters until now:

    1) Mr Hugues

    2) Milo

    3) Shep

    4) Wylie

100 bullets is one of the few comics i completely read every issue more than once "tout de suite" every times it comes out, not to mention, reread it completely every once in a while. it's extremely layered.
i guess Wylie had to die because, as Victor Ray says, he was the best fighter, and what is coming it is not much of a fight, it has already happened that. imho the whole story is driven by necessity. i think also to know who and why in part at least, and even the 100 bullets not being a game. it is one of the very few stories that gives me the pleasure of guessing what's happening, there is so much of not written but figured by the authors. i love it!

There's been rumors that the series will end with the 100th issue. I guess Azz is going to whittle down the characters to about only a few in the end. My guess is that Lono and Cole will probably be the only Minutemen left in the end to duke it out. Lono definitely I think will be there. I have feeling that Grave's time is coming and Cole's gonna find out what motivations Graves really had.

And yeah, I re-read every issue as well. This book has been so good.

i think instead that lono will not be at the end. he's smart and mean but he doesn't know really what's the game, at least that's my impression. maybe the young ones will survive, because they are relatively speaking, savvy victims. who knows?

The only one I figure to survive is Dizzy, and maybe Cole.

And maybe Lono, 'cause he's a hard man to put down. But given that they've made a point of that, I believe the payoff to his particular character is in seeing who or what has what it takes to finally do the job proper.

I dont really have a view on how it'll end. I just know that as a complete series is has been breathtaking. The story and art have been awesome. IMO its so much better than anything Vertigo has brought in in the last 6 or 7 years. even blows away Preacher.

I have to agree with this. Also, the dialogue is the best I've ever seen in anything.
