Heh, what great timing. I have this book, my DC Universe draw off entry idea came from it.

I hope we'll have some interesting entries. These photos are very well done and very useful. I'm going to have to buy a copy of the book for myself!

Are we allowed to use copyrighted characters or do we have to make up our own?

Yup. It's all up to you. Essentially, I am looking for the person who creates the best piece based on my photo reference.

In fact, in the book, there are some art lessons by guys like Greg Land, Billy Tucci, Paul Chadwick, Matt Haley, Mitchell Breitweiser and Fernando Ruiz. They show how they actually use the art as a starting point and interpret it liberally to create a final piece. It's really enlightening to see how they work, since they arent simply trying to reproduce my photograph, instead they are using it to create their own art.

So, I'm not looking for someone to make an exact replica of my photo. I'm looking for someone who uses it effectively to create an original art vision.

And to top it all off, that young lady has a bodacious booty.
It's not your fault, it's mine, because I forgot you are stupid.

This may be a silly question, but for the sequential art category, is there a page limit? I suppose it would be a chore trying to cut-and-paste several pages into one image document (and a chore to sift through and judge them).

    Just curious,

ps - I just e-mailed my first submission - I hope you enjoy!
