    B & R looking for crits

So I wanna enter this Blood and rose's contest... but I can't figure out which pose I want to use. And so I turn to you, my friends at PJ.

    simple "face-off" idea...

This one is meant to say "we travel throughout time and we pick up toys".... I like there bodies enough, but if I went with this one I'd have to develop the background more...

This one is my fav. This background will be black, so it will seem as if they are standing one some sort of energy bubble. My only issue with this is that I have a little voice in the back of my head saying " not enough action"... anywho what you think?

Thanks for taking a look... now crit!
    peace DDg

(p.s. to any monitors... I tried to keep all three images in one post, but for some reason it wouldn't let me... FYI )

Dancingdoorguy, I definitely like the third one best. If you are concerned regarding not enough action, I think it has the most action of the three. Further, although not explicitly "action" it does have dynamic poses (legs angled, foreshortening, "poised" for action), so I don't think it is a problem.

i like the 2nd and 3rd one...i really like the pistols on the top chick in the 3rd one...cool blades coming off of them...sorry if i'm not to much help but they are both good...

all are good, especially after you spend more time on them... the only crit i have are thus:
first one: classic idea. the really loose style, though, compared to your tight style, distracts from this being a strong candidate.. i think if you did this idea again better it would be a strong candidate.
second one:my fav, i would just get the character on the right to look more involved and staring at the viewer and not off into space... i agree, better work with the background will strengthen this one, too...
third one: really really good.. maybe crop closer to add more dynamics like the second one... and the character on the right looks like she's pulling a dance move, not a melee one... maybe i don't know the character descriptions well enough to comment, but my crit instinct is to make her look a little less friendly with her pose and glance, cuz the weapons she have don't look friendly.. know what i mean? take the weapons away and she's dancin' a harmless sexy disco step; i think her body should feel like a weapon , too, dig? not exactly sure what needs to happen with her face and body, but... ummm.... like the character behind her, perfect.
... just tryin' to help.. hope it does a little bit.
you know i think your work is the SHIZnit. rock on, brudda.

Thanks all... this is all helping a lot. I don't have enough time to respond to every ones crits, but tomorrow I will put aside and minute or two.
Until then I wanted to say thanks again!
