The $599 model is now in the $500 range, and I believe the $499 model is around $400-450.

Required HDTV is putting me off of new consoles, except for Nintendo. Who doesn't seem at all interested in HD, or even next gen graphics for that matter. :P

Seconded. I got shit to do, and it ain't like they're going to go away. I can stand to wait a year and let the first gen shake out the kinks.

I was considering a 360, but now I'm thinking I might just save up for a Cintiq instead. Costs about 5 times as much, but it'll be a lot more beneficial in the long run.
