Animated Gifs For Avatar

I've noticed some people have animated gifs on their avatar, I've just tried to do this and it wont let me.

Is there a certain number of posts you need to get before you can have an animated avatar?

Or is it a not an animated Gif but something different you need to upload?

They can be animated, as long as they fit the dimensions and size restriction.

Maybe I need 1000 posts

i actually think only us mods can get an avatar that is 51x51. the regular standard is 50x50. hahah! and i'm using that extra 1x1 space to the max! check out that sweet border!

yeah, mine can only be 50x50, but it can be the same file size.

okay, i guess i just noticed that the members with dark blue names (memebers of the Penciljack Universe Development team) have avatars that are 65x65, so something might be going on with the avatars for other user groups. sit tight, i'm sure terry will have things sorted out soon enough.
