Should I post the pages in this thread or in another?

    HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Touche!

I'm glad you found the feedback useful. I'll answer your question on the font size with a couple more questions:
    1) what size are you drawing these pages at?
    2) what size are they meant to be consumed at?

If these are regular comic pages drawn on normal printer paper and are meant to be consumed as a webcomic in the size and resolution you posted them here, then the fonts are about the right size to be read on a computer screen.

(To get more detail in the art, draw on bigger paper - standard comic art is drawn on 11x17" sheets of Bristol board - and then reduce the size of the artwork. Note that you'll need to be aware of the amount of dialog in each panel and leave the necessary amount of space for it.)

If these are already being drawn on 11x17" Bristol and the comic is meant to be consumed as a printed comic in standard US comic book dimensions, then yeah the font size is perhaps a tad too large. But then, in this scenario, your inks are a bit on the thick side too and could stand to be made a bit finer.

To your question about whether to post in this thread or in another, here's a simple rule of thumb. If you post a page or three, receive some feedback and rework those original pages, then you should post the reworks in the same thread. If you're posting new pages (even if they follow on in sequence from the first batch), then post them in a new thread. You can put in a link to the first thread if you want people to be aware of preceding pages.

    Hope that helps.
    Take care,

I'm drawing these on 11/17 and saving them at about 10 inches tall. No intent to publish really and they are mostly to look at on the web. I'll work on not inking quite so heavily.

I like the different angles you use in your work.

the art behind the faded caption boxes make it a tad difficult to make out some words.

please don't take this as mean spirited or uniformed, as that is not my intent, but seriously, i would never buy this book if i saw it on a shelf.

if you'd like some reasons why, all i can say is that the whole corporate/military super group has been done to death, as well as anthropomorphic beast men and women. to me, the colors are super saturated as well, and so if you put all 3 together you have what seems to me like an "xtreme" version of the care bears. it's just not my cup of tea.

that said, your audience is probably not 24 year old art school bums who hate furry(s?) with a passion that rivals the ferocity of the blazing sun above.

something that i think might help is if you focused on the military aspect more visually. as in, if the lion guy's origin lies with the military, perhaps his taste in clothing or personal presentation reflect that. i don't think that an angry stare and random pieces of metal carry the concept all that well. in other words, in my opinion, for what ever it's worth, the costumes and visuals that you are supplying as an artist fall short of accurately describing what i've read in the text.

    i hope this helps.

If you hate furry art with ferocity blazing sun etc. then this comic will really not interest you at all as that is exactly what it is.

I've heard several people say the colors are "super saturated". By this do you mean they are too intense? Too Bright? What do you recommend?

I like it a lot. I agree with a lot of the points made, and also I think the font size is perfect for online viewing. Any smaller would be a pain on any high resolutions I think. Great work, stick with it. =]

yeah, i mean that the colors are too intense, try knocking them back a bit with the hue/saturation option in photoshop.

Thanks! I'm wondering if some of the comments on the saturation of the colors might be a difference in personal monitors. I'm not sure.
