No, ah, I've never posted a sketch before because while I enjoy looking, there isn't much to say about them. Maybe, "this sucks" or "cool," both of which would be acceptable to me, but I digress....

smoking is TOTALLY cool, it's just dumb.

this is pretty energetic. there are some issues with stiffness, but you're really close to not having those.

really dig the colors. it's rare to see true watercolors posted around here nowadays. usually it's all digital.

I'd invest in one of the Graphic-Sha "How to Draw Manga" books.

You're obviously going in that direction, but you're experiencing a lot of the familiar speedbumps in drawing in that style (the slightly wonky facial structure). There is an underlying structure to it, and the HTDM books offer a road map to get to where you're headed.

wow suprising. I never tried this Manga-stuff before. A friend of mine said he had a whole script and wanted some sketches. These are his chracters and this is a scene from a lil' story. His main guy smokes constantly even when doing things that it would be impossible to smoke an do. (underwater smoking etc.) I drew it in one swipe with pencil and hit it with the brush so he could get an idea of how I might approach Manga-ish stuff, having never done it before. I don't think he liked it. Thanks guys! I was iffy about posting skectches, but I actually got some useful info! - Oh, the other hand is going for the shower curtain rod, cuz the girl just kicked in the bathroom door and is attacking him with a sword. lol!!
(and smoking IS cool ( ask the French ) just because people bother to say it ISN'T, instead of ignoring it like all the other self-destructive behaviors that people engage in like sitting around on their behinds at computers all day.. just kidding)
