    JLA Challenge! (K.O.- thepunisher)

Ok, since yahdman flaked on his own challenge and everyone was hobbled by various other circumstances ie. a kid and the restrictions on this challenge itself just to name a few. Actually, that's it.

Anyway no problem you guys, just be ready for your kid Ridge, cause those things DON'T LEAVE! EVER! And GAG2, next time i'm sure the rules will allow for more creative expression for you to feel your way to a finished piece man.

Now onto the challenge. Here are the 2 entries that did make it and I am happy to present them to you, the viewing public to vote upon and let ring who has the prettier ink pen! YAY!

I would buy thepunishers if it was a cover or promo art. Green Lantern's head is a little wonky, but otherwise well put-together. I wouldn't have known that was Supes getting beat up by Darkseid if I hadn't read it the other thread, and you got tangents going on with Martian Manhunters nose and DS's kneepads.

Justice's is technically well-done, but just lacks something. The character's all look like they are striking a pose for different actions, and then collaged in together. That Superman is BEAUTIFULLY rendered, but the anatomy is way way way off. Very twisted in the mid-section to chest area.

My vote's for thepunisher; both are well done, and I wish this challenge hadn't been such a screw-up since day one. Good work guys.

I see Justice channeling Jim Lee, J. Scott Campbell and Ron Garney.

I'm going with thepunisher on this one, for the slightly better composition.

Both are kinda iffy too me. Thepunishers has some skewed characters and it doesnt look finished. Justice41s looks finished, on the other hand Superman is twisting waay too much and it's got that vibe F!nch mentioned. I voted for the one that looks complete too me and thats Justice.

I see what Vaught's saying about Justice's piece. It lacks any real energy, but it is a nicely rendered piece.

I have to give my vote to Justice just for how good it looks. But yeah, that Supes anatomy is a little off.
Money can't buy you happiness, but it will pay for the search.

heh thought we supposed to vote, not critique.

buuuut since we are i think i can agree with aforementioned stuff. but all in all i guess i give it to pun. Even though tehre seems like a lot of empty space, the darkside looks pretty strong. Its an interesting piece. The chicks faces seem a little off but whatevers clever
A real brother you could be proud of... if he wasn't such a monster...

Someone nailed the composition thing. I just drew random characters over each other till I got this mess. Yeah Supes was basically a combo of two dif poses. Damned if I didn't finish the Green Lantern ring effect.

Thanks for that utopian view of the future. This is number two so I'm about as ready as anyone can be. Another girl, I'm doomed to play Barbies for the rest of my life.

As much as I love Flash taking a moment to mug for the camera in Justice's piece and as beautifully rendered as it is, it's just a tad over done for my tastes. Have to go with thepunisher for the simpler spotted blacks and more natural movement.

The time and effort you guys put into this makes me feel like an even bigger putz for dropping out. Justice41, thepunisher, I salute you.

Wow, this is close. I thought for sure that tangent and the spotted blacks would have killed me when put up next to Justice's more hatched black look.

I also thought at the last minute Justice was gonna come BLAZING through with some colors on his piece. I noticed the Green Lantern ring effect was missing and was thinking, "Aww Hell! He's putting it in the colored version." So I was pretty much reserved to lose this one.

My Green Lantern was a last minute addition. Originally it was supposed to be Supergirl, but I thought, WW, MM & SG!! That's a little too much there on the 'Power' girl aspect. Maybe I should have went with Fire or Hawkwoman.
