What quality level are you saving it as? I can save a 150 dpi 10x15" image at a level of 6 or 7 and still get a nice image for people to view in detail.
I've been running into issues with Photobucket today, and was just wondering if anyone else has been having this trouble...
I'm trying to upload an image that was initially 10"x15" at 300dpi. I did what I usually do: resized it by 50% or so, dropped the resolution down to 72 and saved it as a jpg. Despite that it's still uploading the file at a huge size - too big for me to post in a thread here. I've never had this kind of problem before - if anything Photobucket usually resizes my pics so that they look too small.
Here's a link to the image: http://photobucket.com/albums/y16/kr...lliamFinal.jpg
Normally if i click on the link at the bottom it just reopens the image in another window at the same size, but if I click on this one it reopens it in another window at this size: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y16...lliamFinal.jpg and that's the size that posts in a thread for some reason...
Anybody have any ideas?

I generally go with 7 or 8 - I think this was done at 8.
Hmm try it at 6 or 7, 150 dpi, but shrink the WIDTH of the image to 8 inches at that res instead of 10 and see if you get an image under 300 kb. Also Photobucket allows images of up to 512 kb now.... or at least mine does (the free account).
