Damn thats cool. I hadent even seen this before. Great job on both parts.
yeah, this is really sweet. I have a thing for monochromatic images.

Yow, Riles! Good frocking werk!
Spidey-- Thanks man, I was just trying to show Ink what I think would be a good and simple approach to making his images look a little more complete.
jmil-- Yeah, me too! I think monochromatic pictures look good because you get to take advantage of the color aspect, but it doesn't overshadow the line work. Glad you like it!
Chris Birnham-- I hate you.

Pretty swell, but this picture just screams "color me" to my eyes.
Hey, at least you showed Ink instead of just yapping about it.

Nice work. I really think the colors help the details pop, and that strengthens the piece.

Nice work on the tone....but wasn't the original drawing flip the other way?

Well, color me corrected. That's not what I envisioned at all... for instance, that looks good.

So what's that mean? Have I convinced you to try it yourself?
I mean, honestly it couldn't be easier. Hell, if you use multiply and screen layers Photoshop does half the work for you!
It's all about keeping it as simple as possible and letting the line work do all the real talking.
Usually I ink my stuff first, but it looks pretty good in pencil, so that might be able to free you up to try some different things.
Just something to think about.
