Just when I'm almost caught up.

Oh, well. I guess I can stop buying the singles now.

One question: How far along is the series? Is it halfway through?

They're staggered, so some have finished up and others are just getting started.

Yes, but I mean the overall story.

Awesome. I didn't want to have to buy all the singles.

Good deal. That collects the whole story then?

Well, it says VOL. 1, so it's a safe bet to assume the remainder of the series will be collected soon after.

What's cool about the collection is that it's in chronological order.

Doesn't look like it since they are each a four part series.

I think the entire story runs about 30 single issues, so it will probably take about 4 trades to complete.

    Thumbs up

I for one have been looking forward to this announcement. I usually only buy trades and graphic novels, so I'm glad DC is coming through on this. Morrison is one of my favorite comic writers.
I am surprised they didn't opt for the hardcover first, though.

I really think this is still better read as single issues. To me, the way this is collected is kind of undermining the whole aspect of the series where each character's series is it's own, standalone story.
