DRAWING THE FOUNDATION:

If you have problems drawing muscles.
Draw a line figure, or out-line of a figure.

Drawing just the basic shapes and proportions,
until you can draw your figure in any pose.
Think 3D like an animation cartoon.

Try sketching your favorite comicbook and
cartoon chracters (or create your own).
the main idea here is a good foundation.

Try differnt poses and viewpoints.
heres an example:

PROPORTION
Most artists use whats call a "head count"
to help them draw the human figure correctly.

In general the head counts are:
7 heads tall for Manga or Anime
7 and 1/2 heads tall for science, drafting.
8 heads tall for fashion art
8 and 1\2 heads tall for comic books.

ANATOMY REFERENCES:
Art anatomy books. (no money? try) www.saveloomis.org
Fashion magazines.
Pics from the internet .
bodybuilder magazines are good.
I dont recommend using comic books to start with
the artwork is not ment to be an anatomy lesson
its only for telling a story, looking good, and or believable.
