Night Club, my new Image book

    Hey all,

I thought I'd drop a line and a few images to let you know I'm inking Night Club from Image written by the amazing Mike Baron. Issue one artist, Mike Norton, had to pull out to work on a Marvel book so Karim Whale is picking up the pencils and I get the inks. I'm pretty stoked.

Here are a few pages. I'll post more as the book gets closer to print and also give out the Diamond order code so you can bug your LCS.

    Thanks guys.

Neon, that was a fun shot. It was pretty loose so I got to play around a bit.

Progress is being made. Pages come in, pages go out. Release date coming soon.

Here's another page. Let me know what you think if you have the time.

    Hi Jeremy,

the pages look real good.. are you a traditional inker or digital? If your old school, what tools do you use? Do you ink directly on the origional art? if not, do you make copies some how ? or is it sent digitally to you..sorry for asking so many questions. I am finding i'm much more interested in inking than pencilling lately. I am currently working on inking webisode 3 of ASJ41 , and page 3 of the catwoman jam. I guess i am trying to see if my workflow can be improved by asking what yours is....

Thanks Frank. For this project, I'm using a brush for about 90% of the linework. I also use a Hunt 102 and some markers. Karim emails the pencils to me and I print them out as bluelines on 11x17 Strathmore 300 (plate/smooth finish) on my printer. For other stuff I work over the originals or digitally in Photoshop. Just depends on the client's needs.

Best of luck on you webisode and jam page. Hope my info helped, but most of all just find what works for you.
