Seen this over at eatpoo. Thought it was pretty cool to see how quick he does things.

I hadn't seen it before.
Very interesting. Its when he puts down the pencil and picks up his pens that got me. He just sets to it so quickly with that pen.

It's a pretty neat video. I like anything that shows the process... this reminds me of the Gnomon Workshop DVDs, except that they had the good sense to lay the camera directly over the page instead of off to one side, so that you could more easily observe the work in question.

damn, and I half expected it to be already posted. I remember a different one where he was working on a batman piece. Still pretty cool.
Someone posted this before I think, good find cause I lost the link

Yeah, I think it had been agreed that the video was speeded up, back when it was first posted.
It's definitely sped up - you can only watch a guy draw for so long, but I think the cool part is watching him take such a loose sketch to such finished inks. There's almost no detail to that sketch whatsoever, and it's impressive to see him add that detail with such a permanent medium.
It something I've been trying lately as well - taking roughs directly to inks, with no finished pencils in between. It's a fun challenge, but I'm not any where near an accomplished inker...
