    She's meant to be emotionless.

No offense, but she doesn't look very "samurai" to me. *shrugs* Awesome work though!

she looks samurai c.1990 ad marvel or image universe ^_^

it looks cool, not completly sure of the body, though that might just be cause i can't get really good resolution on my pc. i do very much like the idea for the pose. her design is kinda plain maybe more samurai armor or somthin inspired by samurai besides the sword(which would also be more samurai if on the hip, not to nitpick though) and leg pads. i really don't understand the strap that goes down and inbetween her legs. i really dig her face though. all in all i like it.

    hey

whats up man, samurai idunno, cool concept for female character, yes. I think the pose is a little static for a samurai, right now it looks like anyone can kick her ass, emotionless face or not. I do like your lines though. I dig the style, perhaps more armor? change up the pose so she looks more like a badass? Keep up the good work! Keep drawing!

Is she also meant to be robotic? Because her pose is kind of stiff and mechanical. Actually, she looks as if she might fall over to any second, because her weight isn't well distributed.

There's no way the sword she's wielding here is going to fit in that empty scabbard on her back. The blade's just too long, or the scabbard is just too short. Either way, there's a problem.

The leg band on her right thigh really flattens out her leg, killing any sort of dimension you might have otherwise achieved there. The leg band should be more rounded than you've depicted here. It's flat--and it flattens out the thigh.

Her shoulder anatomy, and how it relates to the bicep/tricep part of her arms is incorrect. Seek out some anatomy reference, if possible. Google might be the way to conjure up some photo reference magic for you.

Her breasts looks sort of lumpy and oddly shapes--like she's had a very bad boob-job or something. Again, seek out "reference"....(cough, cough).

The boots have an interesting "Judge Dredd" vibe to them.

If Dawn (from Cry for Dawn) and Zealot (that chick from WILDC.A.T.S.) ever mated, this would certainly be their offspring!

Anyways, I hope I've shed some light on some trouble spots.

I rather prefer the second rendering. One thing though, depending on the rig, the scabbard is turned wrong. The blade should be facing the sky.

A piece worth finishing though, IMO.
