I like what your doing,for some strange reason I think of The Wizard Of OZ,maybe the outfit,or them flying monkeys.are you useing your Visual Reffs.

He comes across as more of a simple warrior than a warrior monk. Show him in more traditional Buddhist dress. I also think it would be a much more interesting idea to give him a sort of serenity and stillness that he has achieved through temple training, in contrast with his wild nature.

i dunno, finch, i can see some of the monk influence... in Chinese history, monks were often called into war, and they did wear some armor, although, the sword, though a weapon practiced throughout all forms of martial arts --- i have to agree with finch on the serenity of the character, and a sword is rarely viewed as serene (unless this monk is extremely enlightened) --- a staff would be a traditional monk weapon, or a cane.
