Thread: lil things you want to buy for your car?

  1. #11
Man, I bought a skull shifter knob to put on my shifter in my Saturn....and I can't get the goddamned original one off. I don't know what the hell I'm not doing right.

That's all I need to "Pimp My Ride". Just a skull shifter.

Since it's so old and rusty I think I'm going to get some spray cans and have some fun.....

    i actually want a Corolla...a 1985-1987 GTS actually

for your car Bory, you'll need some 17inch rims, since its black you should go with either gunmetal or black with a machined lip. that way all anyone see's is a silver circle while you're driving. next thing would be to lower the car cuz i never liked the height of the new Corollas, they look like roll over vehicles. i can hook you up with some great sites for good prices on stuff like that. if you dont feel like spending a lot of cash try finding a Corolla forum with a For Sale/Trade section and just buy used parts. you would save so much money from it. i've bought parts for my car at half the price than what they were new. one last thing, if you dont have tints, get that done in the spring, but just put a light tint so the cops dont bother you and that you can still see at night.

here's how my car looks with the rims i'm talking about, the car is at stock height and was a little dirty at the time:

    Yeah, I'm still around.

Suit yourself. Personally, I had Hear/Speak/See no evil alien head stickers on my back window...but the Florida sun has screwed them up pretty bad. It's just a front wheel drive car...so there's no point in "pimping it out". Mags are a waste of money on sub compact cars.

...well, unless you're doing it as a joke...but that's an expensive joke.

Tires are good........Always good to have them on your car.=)

Of course you'll need to be roll'in on dubs.

You guys and your fancy decals and shifter knobs, all I want is an oil change.

Oh, Bory, if your car doesn't have a spoiler yet, thats always good. I agree with Rage on the gunmetal rims. It'll tre pwn.

not really, my car handles better on corners with my rims cuz of the different offset and also cuz i have better tires than my goodyear allegra all seasons. thats more of a road race thing, if you want rims just for looks than just get 18inch rims or something.
    Yeah, I'm still around.

Call me crazy, but I like my car being as clean as possible - especially free of decals and what not. I just don't like the idea of having some big-ass sticker being there and fading in the sunlight and looking like crap later and having to go to the trouble of scraping it off and scratching up the paint, inviting rust to damage the car.

The only ornament I have is this neat Back to the Future novelty license plate that I put in my back window that says "OUTATIME". Other than that, I don't want to put anything on my car that would seem permanent.

The first thing I always do to a new car is put in a high quality stereo system and alarm.

I'm not much into tuning, if I want a fast car I'll just go buy one that's already fast and put an awesome stereo in it.

I've got a 97 mustang with about 120,000 miles on it... at this point I think my car stereo system is worth more than the car itself.
