    Unhappy Fox censoring Family Guy

Im watching the Family Guy marathon on Fox and they are censoring there own old damn shows. Ive noticed it a couple of times now they edit the line "Bang my girlfriend" It dosent look good for future episodes of Family Guy, could be a watered down version
Loo loo loo I got some apples, Loo loo loo you got some too. Loo loo loo lets make some apple sauce, take off our clothes and Loo loo loo.

This stuff is starting to burn my biscuits... I dunno if anyone else has noticed, but recently Futurama's been getting some of the ol' censor loving on Adult Swim. Professor Farnsworth has no less than three times recently said, "Sweet zombie ......"

    ...

    Argh.

Wasn't that the joke, too? Stewie (or is it Brian?) says, "wait, can you really say 'bang my girlfriend' on TV?"

What did they put in it's place?

Ugh. As much as I love young minds being protected, if you can't tell that a show's not good for kids, you don't deserve a TV.

That kind of USA afternoon censoring where they change the word is the worst. Second would be the blanking out of the word. AMC, the uncut no commercial movie channel has started censoring movies. They are older movies, yes, but that was one of the last places other than premium stations, that didn't touch anything.

I just got done watching those too. That show is so funny in so many ways that "bang" missing from the dialogue didn't phase me too much.

I guess you can't say "bang my girlfriend" on TV, then.

I don't know if that makes the joke funnier or just sad...

Yeah but this is a fox tv show that they have allready aired years ago, why they hell would they start editing there own show? To tell the truth it ruined the whole episode for me, no bang, no fun.

I'm not agreeing with it, I just had seen that episode about 34 times and not hearing it said didn't really register. I mean, I know they cut it out but it didn't matter. I still died laughing.

Think about it, though... someone, somewhere out there, way, way out there, may be seeing this for the first time. And for them, is the joke really funny when you take out the whole damn point of the joke?

For a personal, I perfer the mute to the sad "coverup" dialogue that's shoehorned in over "unacceptable dialogue"... I'd rather hear a blank pause in the dialogue, which for one thing lets me know for certain that they've censored the material.
