Another in the "what was he thinking?" file

    http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.j...toryID=5519739

DMX faces up to seven years in jail after being charged with cocaine possession and criminal impersonation after trying to steal a car then crashing another vehicle through an airport car-park gate, claiming he was a federal agent
What the hell... forget that he wasn't in the movies? That ain't Jet Li in the seat next to you...

I find it amusing more than anything, I guess... I mean, what, millions of dollars and staggering levels of fame aren't enough for you to just go through life with some calm and common sense? In fact, I'd think those are very imposing reasons to NOT go crashing gates and claiming to be FBI (that's gonna go over REAL well with the Feds, by the way).

I wonder how surprised he was when the REAL airport security gate didn't fold up and fall away like the ones from the movies. Sheesh...

I'm a pretty staunch believer that many in hollywood, music, and entertainment in general, are insane.

Maybe not all of them are criminally insane, but I do believe that insanity is quite prevalent.

I can't remember who, but I've heard this opinion before... I think it was from an author who was being interviewed on The Daily Show. He said that there was a sort of rampant set of psychological issues that tend to run throughout Hollywood, all of which are continuosly upheld by the way "the stars" are treated. Self-esteem issues, self-image, moral values, actual versus percieved influence within the medium, and so on, always being reinforced in these people by the people around them who are themselves a part of the problem.

Then again, I think sometimes that you need to be a little crazy in order to be creative... completely normal people never step outside their normal thought processes to come up with something new, y'know?

Not that there isn't a long stretch between that and this. This was just plain dumb.
