Comic Book Idol II - Round 4

Variant Cover art? Any thoughts on who (based on previous assignments) is going to nail this and who is going to get eliminated this round?

My money is on Rodriguez to win this round. I think with Micah out, Larry has a very good chance making it into the final round.

Those are the two guys who I think will advance.

Personally, I think the top two entries this week will be Rodriguez and Larry. And they will both get so many votes the other two won't be able to even have a hope of going to the final round. Whatever happens, it will be interesting.

    Heh heh heh, that's good. . .

Anyway, I think Rodriguez is certainly the one to beat this round. Since he's got such a super-heroy style this assignment's right up his alley.
And, honestly, even though I know you guys aren't too crazy about him, I wouldn't count Masters out-- I thought he did a really good job with the cover in Round 2, and have you seen his portfolio? His work hasn't been really standing out in this competition so far, but the guy's good. I think without such strict time constraints, like they have with the sequential rounds, he may really be able to do something great.
I can't wait to see what Chy does either, I love how dramatic and intricate his work is, and I think he can certainly kick a good amount of ass.
Just don't cover your art up with a bunch of text this time!!!

There's the problem though. He hasn't really produced anything in this contest that resembles the work in his portfolio. He's falling into the same category as Childers (who based on his portfolio, would have won this contest).

The problem with portfolio pieces, is they have limitless amounts of time to complete them. Not the case in this contest and not the scenerio they would be presented with as professionals.
