Riddick Game
Listen, I've heard this all before. Maybe I'm not exactly human, but for 50 years I've been out there saving lives, beating the crap out of things like you. That makes me the good guy. You're the monster.

Played the demo tonight... gotta say, this is really awesome. It;s incredibly immersive, due in large part to the minimal gui and excellent lighting and textures. I'd say it's almost on par with Doom 3, or at least what that game will look like on the Box. Just the way the camera works in relation to the model is great, allowing you to see your own body to a degree, and casting your own shadow on surfaces is more effective than I might have thought. The design aesthetic is awesome too, with healing taking place at various stations around the prison that inject you with painkillers and such, and guns being DNA encoded to prevent you from stealing them, at least until you find a logical way to bypass the lockout. The Chronicles of Riddick - Escape From Butcher Bay is gonna rock, possibly the best adaptation of a film property that I've ever seen.
The other demo I played that was a ton of fun was Psi Ops. It's just great to pick up your opponents with TK and then toss them around the room, over bridges, into other enemies... And the game looked nice, very good animation and control. Definitely worth checking out for owners of the X-Box.
Yes. We just got all the info and promotional packages for this at work. It looks amazing so far, and hopefully, can only improve by launch. And Psi Ops is also going to rock. I've played both demos, and Inkthinker is dead on.
I movie-tie in game that DOESN'T suck?! You gotta be yankin' me!
I'm not as good as you. . . .I'm BETTER!!

I played the demo off the Official Xbox Magazine last night also and can also say that this game is going to be awesome. I already know I want to buy it. Easily one of the funnest times I've had on my Xbox next to playing Halo. I am already hooked after passing the demo..........gimme more, MORE I SAY DAMMIT! Vin Diesel did it, he had Starbreeze make him THE BEST movie licensed game I've ever seen and played. This game goes toe to toe with Deus Ex 2. I know its too early to say that but I'll stand by those words.
And the Psi-Ops demo also suprised me, thats a game I will be renting if not buying for sure.

Its not only groovy, its got sleeper hit written all over it. It will be one of the top 10 best Xbox games of the year and I say that knowing games like Doom 3, Starcraft : Ghost, Half-Life 2, Halo 2, Jade Empire, etc.,. are slated for this year.
I really was blown away by the lighting and the excellent texturing... very, very nearly photorealistic. Certainly of the same quality in-game as many CG cinemas exhibited only a few years ago, which gives me the girly giddies when I think of playing a game one day that will looks as gorgeous as Final Fantasy: Advent Children.
Again, it's hard to describe until you play it, but seeing you cast your own shadow makes such a huge difference that I can't believe I never noticed how many FPS games don't allow you to do it. It really adds to the immersion factor. Add in the semi-realistic sensible healing system, the heavy use of non-combat in-game puzzles and mechanics that are generally reserved for 3rd-person adventure games, those gorgeous textures and lighting effects, and Vin Diesel as the star, and you've got yourself one hell of a rockin' good time.
Sooo... reasons to get an X-Box now that they're only $150
Chronicles of Riddick - Escape From Butcher Bay
Halo 2
Fable
BC
Half-Life 2
And X-Box Live is a mere $50 for a year. Sweet.
And reasons to keep playing the PS2
Metal Gear Solid 3
Killzone
Rise of the Kasai
NICO
Final Fantasy XII
Oh yeah, it's good to be a gamer.
Yeah it is. Gotta love those PC games too though. I love City of Heros.![]()
