    Marvel 1602

Um, so I was really enjoying this series and wondering what the conclusion would be like and when I got the final issue I felt like I had just been played for a fool. What the hell happened at the end, the whole story fell apart! The explanation of things was ridiculous, and then theres now supposedly a 1602 universe!?!?!?! What the frig! The whole story turned out to be 100% pointless, what a let down.
Anyone else read this? Anyone feel differently from me?

I didn't think it was bad.

The whole Captain America thing was interesting in my mind, but it wasn't as good as the 1602 characters. And the end... was pretty cool considering the low tech that they had to work with in creating characters.

Personally I chalk it up as one of Marvel's better alternative ideas. Now we just have to wait for them to screw it up like they did 2099.

See I loved the whole new take on the characters and the storyline had me intrigued until that final issue, it seemed to me that a mediocre ending was slapped together to try and make sense of the whole storyline.

    SPOILERS*********

Why would Cap be flung back in time simply because he was shot in the head? How did that cause the other marvel characters to be born before thier time? Why would this have brought all those little flying dinosaurs? A rift in time....sure I guess I can buy that even though it doesnt seem well thought out at all...but it still doesnt explain WHY Cap went back in time in the first place. And I thought this was supposed to have ramifacations on the Marvel universe....yet all it did was create a tangent universe. The 1st 7 issues were great but sadly in my opinion that ending flopped.

Personally i thought the art in book 8 was the best but the story was lacking in that one. especially when Cap paints his mask on that was Soooooooooo.... cool.

Actually, they shot him in the head, then sent him back in time. They wanted to make sure he never came back.

How did that cause the other marvel characters to be born before thier time?
The idea was that his going to the past caused the universe to react by creating the other heroes.

Okay... this one I have no idea about.

It all makes sense now its like
Back To The Future movies especially
Back To The Future III where there are versions of characters even in the past from the present..lol ok so its suppose to be their ancestors but they look and act so much alike.

    Man, no one gets that.

There were dinosaurs in America because America was the savage land. That is, the Savage Land.

If you kids are too young to remember the Savage Land, I give up.
