    M. Bison and me

I colored this drawing by a guy named Tyrannus earlier to help a friend with some painting techniques:

and for some reason, it got me inspired to create myself as a Street Fighter character. I actually liked how it was going until I painted the face and now I hate it. For some reason, I just can't make it...work. I dunno, but I'm ready to give up on it. Comments and critiques on both are much appreciated.

P.S. -I saved screen shots of the Bison pic and will be posting a tutorial soon.

great stuff as always.....id say u need to rework the left hand and maybe play around with the positioning of the head......something about it is off......not the head itself, but how its positioned

it may be an issue of lighting on your face. perspective-wise, your nose should be headed to the left, because your face is going that way, but due to the lighting you've put on the painting, it seems to be going to other way, making it look wrong -or- really, really broken

other than the face and left hand, as hangman covered, i think the stuff is friggin awesome!

Hey John, Nice work! There is something about the head, as mentioned previously it may well just be the position. The overall impression is great otherwise.

Its the teeth. On the drawing, you didn't put the bottom teeth in there, and it looked fine. As soon as you put in the teeth, the mouth looks too small for the head. I think thats it...

anywho, this rocks. Hard. Like twice. Then you scroll down, get lonely, and scroll back up and it rocks again.

The second picture is really suggestive.
I like the clouds on the backgroud and the fire effect on the hand of the character.
I really want to see your next coloring.

    Thanks everyone!

T-man -Actually, I added the teeth and changed the expression after I originally posted the pic. I still don't like it, but I think it's a little better now.

Anyway, I should have some free time in a couple weeks to finish up that tutorial.

Until then, anyone have anything else to say?
