I'm not talking about the sensible kind of bad reviews a terrible movie will get, I'm talking about going on rottentomatoes.com and picking out the 3 or 4 people who hated Return of the King or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind out of the hundred or so that liked it.
These guys are the worst. I don't know why I torture myself by reading them. They're so bad. It gets to a point where they're not even reviewing the movie anymore and just going on about why they hate it. Or if they completely missed something that you would expect someone who is payed to watch and review movies would catch, and thats all they complain about, this ficticious fault in the movie that they've made up with their own incompetence.
They're the kind of reveiws you can read that will completely discredit their integrity as a film critic. It really makes you wonder what their problem is.
Well, anyway, does anyone have any favorites to share?
Well, actually I do. I always look for bad reviews to see if people noticed things that I didn't. Especially on Amazon when I am looking at music and books I adored. I look for others perspective, but most just tend to be childish and full of useless hate.

Well Aint it cool News talkbacks are always good for a laugh. There's nothing like angry shutins arguing about the Matrix and Lord of the Rings. I LOVE reading bad reviews! There are just a lot of movies that just didn't need to be made, and it's always fun to read reviewers rippin' on them.
But for movies I think are really good, and I'm wondering what wrong with people for giving them bad reivews, yeah. I want to know what they don't like about a film. Sometimes they have valid reasons, and other times they're assholes who just like being mean for no reason.

i'm a big fan of absolutly unfair bad reviews. reviews of movies so bad, the reviewer doesn't even try to qualify any of the film's good.

oh and most of those rotten tomatoes reviews are probably from some shitty writer for a half-assed city paper. and reviews are genuinely hard to do because there will always be someone who disagrees with you.
but some reviewers just have no taste or knowledge of film. that's why Jersey Girls is getting at least a few favorable reviews.
