I'm partial to Mobile Suit Gundam The 08th MS Team

Not much of a mech-nut myself but I can see myself using this as a good tech-reference site.

I have had that link on my bookmark for a little while... A good place for GW mecha reference pictures... Anyways nowadays I do prefer to follow some different line, like the mechas from Gransazer (the tokusatsu series)...

I like the "08th MS Team" series myself... I have a couple of the 5-inch figures from when they were nice and cheap at Wal-Mart. Now all you can find is those "battle-scarred" versions.

I also dug some of the designs from "War in the Pocket", notably the MS-18E Kämpfer.

I knew about that site for a good three years now, but thats not the best.
