No Way Out 2004 saw the crowning of a new WWE champion...Eddie Guerrero!!

I would have never picked Guerrero to win the title, but he did, and this is a great moment in WWE history. Not only did Brock Lesnar do the job to Guerrero, but it looks like they're setting up an Angle/Guerrero title match for Wrestlemania XX.

BTW, if you don't know, the significance to Eddie Guerrero winning the WWE title is that he was a former cruiserweight, and he's hispanic. Small mexican dudes don't ever win world titles, unless they're cruiserweight titles.

I remember he was always kind of lame. But I guess they started making him more bad ass as of late.

Man, I wish super crazy would come to WWE and become champ. That guy was sooooo awesome in ECW.

Wow, so Benoit and Guerrero are each in world title matches at Wrestlemania... Maybe I stopped watching wrestling too soon.

If their opponents were Angle and Jericho, I'd probably buy WM XX this year.

No shit?! Guerrero won?! That's awesome. Lesner's great but I'm glad to see that Guerrero seems to be getting a big push along with Benoit. Two of my favorites.

So was Taz...and Tajiri. Both of whom I thought were going to make a major impact upon entering the then WWF. But it never happened. Tajiri's been a cruiserweight champ, and maybe euro, too, but I'm not sure. But both of those guys were ECW world champs and should have been heavy hitters in WWE as well.

That's why I'm surprised Eddie won. When they first put him into contention, I kinda laughed it off. I thought for sure they would make him out to be the courageous scrapper who gets his ass kicked, but put up a great fight. But he actually won. Boggles, but very very cool.

bah RVD kicked ass in ECW... hell Jerry Lynn always kicked ass and they let him go. WWF is just a bad wrestling show compared to ECW simple as that I mean c'mon Vince let them at least to pile drivers.

Lesner really didn't come out of now where. He is only his mid-twenties and came straight from University of Minnesota Wrestling. I actually saw him wrestle in college and even when you saw him then you knew this dude made for WWE.

Whoa! Eddie won! *Does little Latin Heat dance* I didn't think it would of happened but atleast Eddie has more of a chance of retaining than Benoit has of beating the unbeatable HHH.

I disagree. I'm not sure how crucial a piledriver is to a match, but alot of the moves I see them doing now look painful enough.

ECW was a bunch of guys with no medical coverage who were barely being paid. They did what they did because they loved it, yes, but there weren't millions of people tuning in weekly to see their favorite ECW star, so safety wasn't an issue. What you do in front of millions on live TV is different than what is taped in some 3,000 seat arena in Booneville.
